On the 17-18th of October final stage of ClimateLaunchpad 2017 green business idea competition for start-up business ideas took place in Limassol, Cyprus.
105 teams from 35 countries took part in the final. All the teams presented start-up business ideas, that are aimed at prevention of climate changes.
The first place with €10.000 price won the team from Kenia, which presented a project of innovative technology to obtain liquid fuel from waste materials.
The team from Switzerland won the second place with €5000 prize found with the project to integrate a natural bacterial mechanism into geo-technical applications for engineering stronger, more resistant, foundation substrates.
The third place and the audience award went to “Vienna Textile Lab” which represented Austria.
Also €5000 prize fund went to teams that were recognized the best in their spheres.
3 Armenian projects represented Armenia in Grand Final:
-Advanced Biofuel/Biodiesel,
-EcoPad,
-AWCA (AtmosphericWater Generator for Cars).
Curencii Armenian startup represents an online platform for foreign currency exchange, allowing users to save for up to 10 times on exchange transactions. Currently the startup participates in 3-month acceleration program by Estonian Startup Wise Guys, which kicked off in Riga a few days ago.
